New Years Resolution

So after my husband got after me for not updating our blog I decided that I need to keep it up to date. There has been so much that has happened since Oct. '09, First I now have a daughter. I love her so much. She is the happiest pleasant baby girl to be around. If I knew 100% that my next would be a girl I would jump on it but knowing I could have another Kolton or Kaydon scares me to death. Bart is going to have to beg for a couple more years.

After doing the Womans expo for the 3rd year in a row I finally said ENOUGH... It was a really sad day when I decided to be done but told myself that maybe when the kids are all in school and I have more free time I will do it again. It was so stressful and sewing took up so much time getting product ready that I decided my family needed me more. So now I have my stuff in a few store and stay busy making custom orders for baby showers.

Baby leggings, thank you Melissa Worthen for telling how to do these. I have hundreds now in my closet of many different colors. The picture on the right is a hooded towel. They make great baby shower gifts. This was for my Niece Haylee's 3rd birthday.

This is my neice Brekyn sporting the outfit I made. She looks so dang cute. The other picture is faceplates for light switches. They update any room very just a few dollars. I have people from California calling me to custom order them. I love when people love my work.

This year Bart decided to start running. He signed up for a half marathon and ran the half marathon after only running for 8 weeks. I couldn't believe it, he also beat my time from the year before. Picture on the left is the Provo River Half, Right- is the Suncrest Half. He was hoping to sign up for the Logan half but after finding it was full decided he would run the full. He was and is still crazy. He ran in 4hr and 46min, I am so proud of him. He could barely move for about 2 weeks after but is now wanting to run it again this year with my company.

Kaydon started Preschool this year yea for mom. I now have Tuesday and Thursday morning to just Kamryn and I. I can work out and just play around with my girl. He absolutely loves his teacher and it is helping with his Speach. I can't believe he is going to be 4 in May. For some reason I don't have a picture on my camera of Kolton but he started Kindergarten and loves riding the bus to school. He is also learning a lot and growing up way to fast. He is going to be 6 in May.
The boys got a month trial of Karate for dirt cheap at Draper Days. They loved it and wanted to keep going but the price they were asking per month was more then all my car (that was just for one boy too) so unfortunately we had to just take the trial. We hope to get Kolton into another karate place soon. We are looking into putting Kaydon into Tumbling. I know he is a boy and tumbling is for girls but he can do the splits and has since a baby. I am going to take full advantage of it while he is young and can do the splits. He needs a little girl put into him, it might calm him down.

I also learned how to make homemade marshmellows. We love them and this is Caramel and toasted coconut. I love to experiment and this was the best. My family likes to use them in Hot chocolate.

This is Bart and I at the Sandy Ampitheatre in July. I can't believe how fast time flies we are celebrating our 7 year anniversary in March and it feels like we just met yesterday. I love him more then he will ever know. He is truely my best friend and grateful he still makes me laugh.

It has been forever....

There has been a lot going on at the Williams house hold. This summer Bart and I had a once in lifetime opportunity (well since we have been married). We went to visit my sister in California (without kids) and watched her play soccer and see a little bit of how people live in California. We had so much hanging out with the team and feeling like royalty staying in a mansion in L.A. While there were Michael Jackson just happened to die and my sister lived around the corner from his house. Believe it or not we were the first bystander at his mansion. We even beat a lot of the press. It was so fun to see behind the scenes of some of the most popular news channels and even being on T.V. around the world. We had so much fun. Next year Katie will be in Atlanta Georgia. Can't wait for our visit there. In August I finally finished a goal and ran a half marathon. It was so fun and actually pretty easy. I ran it in 2:24:30 which isn't bad for my first race. I would like to run another one and try to beat 2 hrs. I better get running and get my speed up. Kolton finally started school the end of August and I appreciate the few hours i have of Peace and Quiet and a nice walk with Kaydon. Kolton is learning so much and the teacher says he should be reading by the end of the year. Kaydon, FINALLY after 2 1/2 long years is starting to talk. We think we may be hard of hearing, so we have test going on this week to make sure he is ok, but don't worry he is more active then ever and is by far my hardest kid. He is so dang fast and eats the whole house. He has been obsessed with babies, he is going to be a great big brother if we have another little one. Bart is still working for his dad and loves it. The company is starting to slow down a lot and so Bart has now applied for a job at Delta and should be starting there soon. I also have applied for a job so we have enough of an income to get us through the winter and get out of debt. I can't not wait until we have our own place i can paint and decorate myself. It won't let me post pictures so I will upload some later.

Whats happened lately

It's been along time since i have posted and alot has happened. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary March 25th. Bart is the man of my dreams. Every day our marriage gets so much better and fall more in love with him.

We also celebrated Kolton 4th birthday on May 3rd. I don't know how this happened but i have a 4 year old. i feel like i just gave birth to him and now he is a grown boy. I love kolton and all the challenges that come with him. He just finished his first year of preschool and can now write his name and a few other words.

May is just the birthday month for us it was also Kaydon 2nd birthday May 10th. I can not believe how big he is getting. He weighs the same as kolton and tries to be just like him. He has learned to ride a razor scooter recently but does not talk yet. Unless you speak kaydon.(he has made up his own language.) still a very sweet but stubborn boy.

It was also Barts birthday in may and we got to go shopping and dinner without the boys thanks to his parents. I have also started training for a half marathon. It is kicking my butt but i am determined to finish. I am also thinking about running 2 this summer if i can get the training in. We are heading to california to finally see my sister play soccer tomorrow and can't wait to see her.

Update

A little up date on what i have been up too lately. I haven't been able to post pictures for a long time because i didn't have a computer to upload pictures. Bart finally got one of them working so i am so happy. I have been cooped up inside with the boys now all winter and wanting spring so bad. There was a couple days of warm weather that we played outside and now everyday i get all dressed to run outside and the boys complain that it is too cold. Kaydon has also been really sick lately and so i have tried to get them well so that when this good weather comes we can go outside. He is also starting to talk a little bit. It has been so frustrating for him not to be talking. He has his own language that i don't understand but luckily he is a smart kid and can either get what he wants or guide me to what he wants. He likes to yell MOM, MOM over and over again while tapping me on the shoulder. He isn't even 2, i can be looking him in the eyes but until i say yes kaydon he wont say or do anything but MOM, MOM.
Kolton is the same old Kolton. He is always doing something he is not supposed to be doing. Screaming like a little girl or being the most lovable boy there can be. He hates to sleep. He has been waking up at 6:30 in the morning ready to play. I got him the other morning climbing up our bookcases. He got it big trouble. If he would have climbed up the other bookcase i know it would have fallen. He is in preschool and learning all his letters. He can write everyones name in the house and we are working on his last name. To many straight lines, it confuses him.
Bart has been really busy at work, and has now picked up a second job. Luckily the second job came looking for him and will work with his schedule. He can pretty much work whenever he wants and get paid between 20-25 a hour. I know there was a blessing to why i was turned down from 1-800 contacts. He has also been playing xbox like no other. I started calling my self the widow wife of an xbox addicted husband. But all in all he is a wonderful husband and tries to help out as much as his tried buddy allows him.
I can not wait until next week. I find out if i made it into Swiss Days. It is a big money maker and we really need this. I have heard that most people who are sellers at this event make at least 7k in one weekend. If i can keep up on the demand. My apron business came to a hault after christmas but the trade shows are starting back up so i am hoping that i am able to start selling again. I have been busy sewing fun things for friends and family. I just love sewing, and can't wait to learn techniques. I can not wait until we can move out of my parents basement and into our own home. We are a ways away from that but every month we get closer and closer. I have also been working out at the gym 4 times a week. It has been frustrating. I haven't lost any wieght but i have gained muscle. I am more toned and have more energy to run with the kids. I have a goal to run a half marathon this year. I am up to 4 miles and have 9 more to go. Wish me luck.

What i have been up too lately!!!!

I Have always enjoyed sewing and sewing a rag blanket for my sister in-law out of this animal print also with purple elephant print and a green poka dot. Well at the baby shower she several of these cute blankets that are just 2 pieces of flannel sewn together with a decorative stitch around the sides binding it together. It turned out so cut that i did matching burp clothes. My mother in-law for my birthday gave me classes on how to use your sewing machine. Yes i have had my machine for 2 years now but never took the class to learn what my machine does. I was so excited. It was a 4 week class every saturday and i learned so much about my machine and also about sewing. I learned that my machine will do names. The letters on the burp cloth is as big as it gets but it is still really cute.

I made theese 2 burp clothes for my sister in-law to match the rag quilt i made for her.

My friend Randi told me almost 2 years ago that i could make theese burp clothes and sell them cheaper then the boutiques and it took me 2 years of moving those stupid cloth diapers from room to room before i decided i can do this. They turned out so cute. The fabric in the center is Flannel. I am going to start expanding my creative mind and think of different things to do with these new cute burp clothes.

This is the matching blanket and burp cloth that started me on everything. If i ever get a girl she is going to be so spoiled. i am now trying to figure out a cute way to get the blanket to attach to the infant car seat. As soon as i get it down i will post to show all.

This is the cuttest stitch for this frabric. It is a little blurry but it is swirly. It makes the blanket even that more cute.

Kolton's New hair cut

Kolton decided that while telling me he was going to the bathroom that he wanted to look like daddy. If youlook closely there is no hair. He used Barts neck hair trimmer so it was completley bald. I tried to get mad at him and he said "Mommy i just wanted to look like Daddy" how do you get mad at that

He actually likes the feel of his scalp. Everyone in our ward rubs his head every sunday and Kolton loves it. He keeps asking me to cute it again.

STAKE PRESIDENCY

Yesterday my dad became the 1st counselor fo the Stake Presidency. I feel a little sad for my dad. He has complained for over a year that every weekend he has something planned he has had to cancel it because of a camp out or something going on with the ward. He has been Bishop for the last 5 years, and was hoping to get released and have his weekends to himself. I hope with this calling he will beable to have a little more time to do the fun things in life.

I am so excited that my dad was asked to be a part of the Stake Presidency he will do an excellent job. I have heard from members of our ward that they cried all day long because they are no longer having there amazing bishop. I great experience that happened this weekend is a couple in our ward have not been active for 10+ years. Elder kakuchi (sorry the spelling) came for Stake Conference and asked to meet if 5 families from the stake. They asked for each bishop to come up with 2 names of their ward. My dad sent in 4 names and of the 5 families 2 where from our ward. One of the families had a private meeting with Elder Kakuchi and my dad. They taled about the life style they have been living and was told he was going to get a special blessing that his body would reject smoking. That his body would no longer like smoking (he has struggle for many years trying to stop). Elder kakuchi went on to talk about getting sealed in the temple and told them he wanted them sealed no later then September of this year. This couple had not even thought about that in a long time. They told him they would as long as he attend the sealing. Eder Kakuchi being the great leader he is told them that if they followed his cousnseling and change there lifestyle that he would sealed them himself. They are so excited and working really hard to get sealed

It was so excited to see both sides of this story. They went to every meeting the Stake had this weekend and even got to sit front row at Conference. I can't wait to see them go through the temple and be sealed for time and all eternity. I am so greatful for the dad i have who is so in tune to the spirit. I believe that this all came about because of what a great man he is. I am sad that he is no longer bishop and my kids wont see him on the stand everyweek, but know that our stake will be greatly blessed because he is part of the stake president.
